The Sapporo Nervous Breakdown redefines the mid-rise tapered jean with precision and soul. Straight through the hips, gradually narrowing towards the ankle, it creates a strong silhouette that feels sharp yet never stiff.

The mid-rise makes it versatile and comfortable: low enough to keep a relaxed attitude, high enough to structure the figure. The fit follows the body without constraining it — the perfect balance between freedom and control.

From the back, the construction is clean and understated, with subtle details that reflect the hand of the craftsman.

Crafted in Japan from a 12 oz Japanese denim, each pair requires over six hours of work in our partner workshop. The wash is achieved exclusively with stone wash, never with chemicals. Whiskers, fades, and marbling are shaped by hand, ensuring each piece carries its own unique character.

Fabric & Wash

At BORO デニム, every jean is unique thanks to our commitment to authentic craftsmanship. Made from premium Japanese selvedge fabric, our jeans are woven on antique shuttle looms for unrivaled durability. We do not use any lasers; the whiskers and effects are made by hand, giving each piece a truly unique identity. Our specialized washing processes with historic barrel machines and our production in small batches guarantee careful attention to every detail.
